Matt Johnston

Matt Johnston is a vice president of Investment Sales in Northmarq’s Seattle office where he joined in 2023. Matt specializes in connecting buyers and sellers of multifamily communities and has successfully completed nearly 150 transactions on behalf of private capital and institutional clients.

Matt prides himself on taking an educational- and relationship-focused approach to his work, ensuring that clients are serviced to the highest level throughout the life cycle of a transaction. Matt strives to make certain that clients walk away from each assignment knowing that he did all he could to deliver the most positive outcome on their behalf, laying the foundation for a long and collaborative relationship.

Most recently, Matt spent five years as a multifamily investment sales broker at a privately held brokerage firm in Seattle where he was recognized by Connect CRE as a recipient of the 2023 Next Generation Award, honoring rising leaders in the commercial real estate industry.

Matt studied at the University of Washington and graduated from the Foster School of Business with an emphasis in finance.
