Matt Spangenberg

Matt Spangenberg is an associate vice president located in Northmarq’s Chicago office. Matt specializes in the disposition and acquisition of single- and multi-tenant net lease retail, industrial and office properties throughout the United States. He leverages a diverse skill set and consultative, relationship-based approach to effectively guide clients through optimal asset positioning and transactional efficiency, thereby helping them maximize returns at both the property and portfolio level.

Before Northmarq, Matt served as an associate director at Stan Johnson Company (SJC). Prior to SJC, Matt worked as an investment sales broker with one of the largest brokerage companies in the U.S. and spearheaded the business development initiatives there for a top shopping center brokerage team. Additionally, Matt is a licensed attorney, having previously practiced real estate law with a focus on real estate debt finance.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School. He is an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers and is a licensed attorny in Illinois and Wisconsin.
