John Banas

John Banas is senior vice president/managing director of Debt + Equity in Northmarq’s Philadelphia office, where his responsibilities include co-leading the office’s growth, directing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Financing, facilitating debt and equity placements, and managing lender and borrower relationships throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

John joined Northmarq in 2024, after serving as senior vice president and managing director for six years co-leading Walker & Dunlop’s Philadelphia Office. He began his commercial real estate career in 2005 with a regional firm and has since closed more than $6 billion in commercial real estate financing transactions. 

John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in both real estate and human resources management from Temple University. He actively participates in industry organizations including the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Urban Land Institute, and the International Council of Shopping Centers, and serves on Provident Bank's Advisory Council.
