Luis Elorza
Luis Elorza is managing director in Northmarq's Tampa office where he is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, opinions of value and market insights. His business background includes more than 25 years of investment banking, corporate finance and real estate experience, with a career-long focus on commercial real estate, either as a lender, investment banker, restructuring professional or broker.
Before joining Northmarq, Luis served as executive director in Cushman & Wakefield's Capital Markets Group, where he focused on the firm's multifamily brokerage operations in Southwest Florida, and closed more than $4.5 billion in multifamily transactions between 2005 and 2020.
Luis has held real estate and corporate finance positions at Citicorp, Bankers Trust, Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch's Global Private Equity Division. At these firms, he managed a broad range of real estate and corporate finance assignments including mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending, restructuring, privatizations and valuations.
Luis was also a principal and senior vice president at Providence Management, an owner and manager of multifamily properties, identifying investment sales opportunities and capital sources including family offices, money managers and other potential equity investors.
Luis holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance, corporate accounting and entrepreneurship from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude with a major in economics and Certificate in management studies from the University of Rochester. He completed the Merrill Lynch MBA training program for Investment Banking and the Citicorp Institute for Global Finance credit, corporate finance and capital markets training program. Luis passed the General Securities Representative/Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exams and is a licensed Real Estate Agent in the State of Florida.
