Dan W. Baker
Dan Baker is a senior vice president in Northmarq's San Francisco office where he works with clients to provide financing solutions through both correspondent lending relationships with life companies and FNMA/Freddie Mac. He works with a host of traditional and non-traditional lending sources to meet any client’s specific request. Dan has the ability to assist his clients with permanent debt, bridge loans, mezzanine debt and preferred equity/equity structures.
Dan has been involved in the commercial real estate industry since 1979 and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California. He began his career with Bank of America and later transitioned to an origination role with both MET Life and John Hancock until 2000. Next, Dan joined LoopNet’s debt platform, overseeing the debt production, in which he helped close over $150 million in 60 transactions with 25 different lenders via internet platform. Dan then joined GE Real Estate-Business Property in 2003 where he focused on structured, single tenant transactions prior to joining the San Francisco office of Northmarq as a senior vice president in 2013.
Dan is associated with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and has held past board positions with the Lafayette All American Football Association and the Catholic Youth Organization. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from San Diego State University and continued coursework specific to commercial real estate through UC Berkeley.
