Pete O'Neil
In his role as director of research, Pete O'Neil is responsible for overseeing the production of research content to support the company’s Multifamily Investment Sales business. Pete and his team coordinate with professionals in local markets to create research reports and forecasts for approximately 25 markets each quarter.
Pete also crafts the company’s national multifamily outlook and oversees the research coverage of the emerging build-to-rent sector, where Northmarq has established a market-leading position. Pete also contributes content for industry conferences, investor presentations and media requests.
In addition to his work with Northmarq, Pete is an instructor in the Masters of Real Estate Development program at Arizona State University, where he teaches real estate market analysis and a course on income-producing properties.
Before joining Northmarq, Pete was the research director at Colliers International for eight years, where he oversaw all research operations for the Phoenix office. Pete also worked at Marcus & Millichap in several roles, including national publications manager, where he was responsible for the content and distribution of the company’s research materials covering approximately 50 markets across the United States.
Pete holds a Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland.
