As Senior Vice President of Northmarq’s Houston-based regional office, Travis Fite helps clients fulfill their commercial and multifamily capital needs by offering debt and equity solutions through Northmarq’s preferred life insurance correspondents, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, Wall Street conduits, pension funds, debt funds, banks, credit unions and other prominent capital sources.
Travis joined Q10 KDH in 2011 after originating commercial mortgages for a nationwide investment sales brokerage house. Q10 KDH was acquired by Northmarq in early 2020, creating one of the oldest and most experienced CRE financing firms in the Houston area. With over 20 years of experience as a mortgage banker, Travis has personally closed hundreds of transactions on all the major property types, including office, multitenant retail, industrial and multifamily.
In addition to providing debt financing for the traditional property types, Travis has also closed loans on self-storage, flagged hospitality, undeveloped land and numerous single-tenant retail properties. He has sourced financing with a variety of local and national banks, credit unions, conduits, agencies and life company lenders. Travis has the knowledge and experience to manufacture a competitive marketplace among lenders in a way that will generate the best possible terms for his clients on any given transaction. His ability to match up commercial real estate debt requests with the right lender makes him well-liked among both borrowers and lenders.
Travis, a sixth-generation Houstonian, is a graduate of Principia College, in Elsah, Illinois, where he earned his B.A. in business administration and Spanish. He has been involved with the Mortgage Bankers Association and International Council of Shopping Centers. Travis also holds a real estate salesperson’s license in the state of Texas.
