About Adam

Adam Klenk is the managing director for Northmarq’s Multifamily Investment Sales team in Nashville. He focuses on multifamily investment sales for private and institutional clients in the Southeast, primarily covering the Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama markets. Adam’s experience covers a vast array of specialties including market rate, affordable, student housing, build-to-rent, pre-sale and general partner buy-outs along with development land for all residential types.

Before joining Northmarq, Adam opened and led the Nashville office for Capstone Apartment Partners for over 10 years — and left the firm as a partner overseeing a team of seven. In his last five years at Capstone, he transacted nearly $2 billion in sales totaling over 20,000 units.

Prior to Capstone, and directly out of college, Adam was recruited to work for The Bechtel Group — one of the world’s largest and most well recognized construction, engineering and project management firms. While at Bechtel, his roles ranged from project management to contracts and purchasing, and these multi-billion dollar projects have taken place across the globe in an array of sectors including government, nuclear, oil and gas, communications and renewables. Employment prior to university education has been diverse and ranged from working on fishing boats in the Bering Sea, working in Nascar pit crews, teaching snowboarding at Vail Resorts.

Adam is a licensed pilot, adventure and serial marathon runner — including a Boston Marathon finisher — and an avid mountaineer who has climbed most of the highest peaks in the United States, as well as some abroad. He is also an accomplished sailor, having recently placed second in a sailboat race through the Indian Ocean from South Africa to Australia. He is also a partner and owner of restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina, including The Goodyear House and others.

Graduating near the top of his class, Adam completed his Bachelor of Business degree at Michigan State University’s globally No. 1-ranked Supply Chain Management program while adding a minor in Information Technology. He is currently a candidate to attain his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
