About Austin

Austin Heithcock is a senior vice president in Northmarq’s Nashville office, where he specializes in multifamily investment sales. During his career, he has assisted numerous clients throughout the entire life cycles of their business plans, providing comprehensive support across a range of real estate sectors. His expertise includes value-add strategies for apartment complexes and land acquisitions for rezoning — both for apartments and single-family development. 

In addition to selling paper lots to horizonal developers, Austin has facilitated the sale of developed lots to home builders, LIHTC apartment developers, and market-rate apartment developers. He is well-versed in adaptive reuse projects, both for market-rate housing and Section 8 developments. He has experience in selling stabilized Class A communities to institutional investors, offering a full spectrum of services to meet the diverse needs of his clients.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Austin began his career in investment sales in 2017 with Brookside in Nashville. In 2019, he joined Capstone Apartment Partners where he led client development and disposition efforts — successfully managing transactions totaling more than $300 million. He also played an active role in transactions totaling over $750 million, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled professional in the real estate investment sector.

Austin is an active member in the Nashville Urban Land Institute. He holds a degree in finance from Middle Tennessee State University, providing him with a strong foundation in financial analysis and strategic decision making. He holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, further demonstrating his expertise in commercial real estate investment. He is a licensed broker in Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina, allowing him to serve clients across multiple key markets.
