Josh Galen

Josh Galen is a senior vice president of Debt + Equity based in Northmarq’s Los Angeles office. He is responsible for sourcing debt and equity across various asset classes. Josh provides value to his clients, both institutional and middle-market firms throughout the U.S., by utilizing his extensive experience working on the principal and institutional equity space.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Josh served as a principal at a private multifamily investment company focused on the acquisition of value-add and core-plus assets in the Southeast and Midwest. He led acquisitions for three years prior to joining Northmarq.

Josh has also served as an investment associate at Pacific Urban Investors, a real estate private equity firm that has extensive experience investing in and executing asset strategies for multifamily properties. He spent four years focusing on the placement of JV and preferred equity on the West and East Coast. Before Pacific Urban Investors, he served as an analyst for Argentic Investment Management for two years where he assisted in the origination of fixed and floating debt. 

Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy, planning and development with a focus in real estate development and a master’s degree in finance with a focus in real estate finance from the University of Southern California.
