David Elkins

David Elkins is the managing director of Northmarq Advisory Services. With more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, David is a proven and established leader. 

David served as president of NBS Real Estate Consulting, prior to the Northmarq acquisition in 2024. Throughout his career, he has earned a trustworthy reputation for an unbiased approach to all facets of real estate transactions and operations. For over 15 years, David has provided expert testimony and has served as receiver, interim resource, project manager and advisor for many clients and property types. His work has spanned the continental United States, Istanbul, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Because of such widespread experience, David is an invaluable resource for his clients, prized for his knowledgeable insight, attention to detail and honest expertise.

David received his undergraduate degree in business administration from California State University, Fresno and obtained his MBA degree from the University of Oregon. David began his career at the property level for several assets throughout California and Portland, Oregon with Macerich, Bramalea Pacific, Hines and Ashforth Pacific, before focusing on the investment side of the business for Schnitzer West. Since 2006, David has been providing advisory services for owners, investors, lenders and corporate users of real estate.
