Peter Sherman

Peter Sherman is a director of Originations at Northmarq Fund Management. Out of the firm’s New York office, Peter is responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, due diligence and closing of new investments. Peter is also responsible for trading activities and portfolio management of the firm’s CRE securities portfolio.

Peter has been with Morrison Street Capital since 2018, which merged with Northmarq’s fund management entity in 2024. Previously, Peter worked as an associate director at Marcus & Millichap within the investment sales division. In this role, he was responsible for the financial analysis and underwriting of client acquisitions and dispositions across all product types, with a primary focus on retail properties. During his time there, he led the analysis and valuation of over 350 properties with an estimated value of $2.5 billion.  

Peter began his career at VEREIT (formerly ARCP), a real estate investment trust based in New York, where he actively participated in the underwriting, pricing and diligence of large entity- and portfolio-level transactions.

Peter received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Binghamton University.
