Northmarq’s Charlotte Multifamily Investment Sales team leads sale of 5.79-acre development tract in Charlotte, NC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 27, 2025) — Northmarq’s Charlotte Multifamily Investment Sales team led by Eric Liebich and supported by Ron Corrao, Scott Fuller, Matt Weinstein, Dane Lozier and Dominic Bologna successfully completed the $1.25 million sale of a 5.797-acre development tract located at 7003 Copperway Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Located near the intersection of E.W.T. Harris Blvd and North Carolina State Highway 27, the property sits roughly 8.5 miles east of Uptown Charlotte. The proposed development will feature a 24-unit building and a 36-unit building for a total of 60-units that will both be 3-storties tall. The community will feature a clubhouse, picnic area, playground area, off-street parking and bike rack access.
The Northmarq brokerage team sourced both the seller and buyer in the transaction that was facilitated off-market between the parties.
The seller, Northway Homes, is a vertically integrated homebuilder in Charlotte, North Carolina. The buyer was The BTR Communities Group, a developer of market rate, affordable and mixed-use multifamily communities with expertise in new construction, historic rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and projects involving low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC).
