Eric’s client focused approach is centered around providing in-depth market knowledge, clear communication, and attention to detail through the transaction lifecycle to help maximize value for clients. Eric provides a deep understanding of multifamily ground up construction, where he has sold a substantial number of development land sites purposed for market rate apartment, affordable/low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC), build-to-rent (BTR), and for-sale community development.
Prior to his time at Northmarq, Eric spent seven years at Capstone Companies — at the time, the nation’s largest privately-owned multifamily investment sales firm — where he was focused on private capital multifamily transactions and overseeing the firm’s development land brokerage platform throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Over the course of seven years, he became one of the firm’s top producing brokers, leading and assisting on north of $4 billion in total transaction volume. At the time of his transition to Northmarq from Capstone Companies, Eric was responsible for co-leading the investment sales team made up of eight brokers responsible for all investment sales and development land brokerage activities throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Additionally, Eric has prior experience and expertise in strategic sourcing and negotiations having started his career with Bank of America within their Enterprise Services organization.
Eric is involved with a variety of community service organizations including the YMCA of Charlotte, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation while also focusing his free time on family, travel, and philanthropic causes he believes in.
