Ron Corrao
Ron Corrao is a managing director leading the Northmarq Carolinas Private Client Multifamily Investment Sales team based in Charlotte, focused on assisting clients with buying and selling private capital multifamily assets throughout North and South Carolina. Additionally, Ron has expertise in identifying, marketing and selling land developable for multifamily ground up new construction. Ron’s client focused approach relies on an extreme in-depth market knowledge to assist clients in maximizing value for their properties during a disposition. Additionally, as he has honed his skills over the years to understand the economics of ground up construction, Ron has sold a substantial number of development land sites later developed into market rate, affordable, and for-sale communities.
Prior to Northmarq, Ron spent 10 years at Capstone Companies, a privately owned multifamily investment sales firm, focused on private capital transactions throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Over the course of 10 years starting from the firm’s sole financial analyst and working his way to firm partner, Ron led and assisted on north of $4 billion in transaction volume and has been recognized by several national publications as a leading expert in the multifamily space in the Carolinas. Ron ended his time at Capstone Companies leading Carolina’s Brokerage Team office responsible for all brokerage activities throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
Additionally, Ron has prior experience in commercial real estate consulting and credit lending financial analysis with multiple large international commercial banks. Ron started his career with Wells Fargo performing financial audits.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Economics from Virginia Tech. He earned a Master of Science in Commercial Real Estate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Florida. He is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
