James Dorsett

James Dorsett is an associate broker and joined Northmarq’s Multifamily Investment Sales team in July 2023. He is primarily responsible for sourcing new business opportunities in the private capital and middle markets segment of the Carolinas. 

Prior to joining Northmarq, James spent six years at a Fortune 500 human capital management organization, where he was a top-10 producer nationally, achieved multiple President’s Club awards and led a team of eight sales representatives covering North Carolina and South Carolina. Most recently, James spent a year as an employee benefits broker consulting with mid-sized organizations on their employee benefits strategies. 

James lives in his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and son and is actively involved at White Memorial Church and the Rotary Club of Raleigh.

James received his Bachelor of Science at the Martha & Spencer Love School of Business at Elon University.
