Andrea Howard
Andrea Howard has over 20 years of experience in multifamily transactions in the Southeast, joining Northmarq in 2021 to continue building the company’s Investment Sales platform across the country. She co-leads the team covering the Carolina markets, and has more than $5 billion of transaction volume, specializing in multi-housing properties and investment advisory.
Prior to Northmarq, Andrea spent eight years with JLL leading the Carolina’s multifamily capital markets practice, and three years at Grubb Properties as senior vice president of multifamily investments and managing director of Grubb’s Southeast residential fund II. While at Grubb, Andrea closed eight multifamily properties totaling $126 million into Grubb’s private equity fund. Andrea was also VP of Investments at Camden Property Trust from 2000 through 2009, where she was directly involved in over $1.7 billion in acquisitions and dispositions with a concentration in the Southeast. She started her career as a financial analyst in the Real Estate Capital Markets group at First Union.
Andrea is an active member of ULI, NMHC, and CREW, and was recognized as one of the Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in 2011. She was also named a 2023 Top Sales Broker by CoStar. She’s a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and South Carolina.
She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Finance, magna cum laude. In addition, Andrea was a four-year member of the softball team and recognized as an All-American Scholar Athlete.
